About Kind Caregivers at Home
Our Story
A wise man once said, “caring for seniors is perhaps the greatest responsibility we have.”
As a child of aging parents, I highly resonate with this. My dad is turning 89 this year, and my mom is 83. My parents are the heroes in my life; they worked so hard so that we could have the best chance of a future. I am very grateful for the sacrifices that my parents have given for the benefit of me and my siblings.
My mom started showing signs of memory loss this year and my dad just had his mouth fully extracted. While waiting for his dentures to fit, he is struggling with chronic weight loss and lack of nutrients and energy. It is worrisome, to say the least, to watch my parents, who were once youthful and full of energy, become weak and more vulnerable. They, and other seniors, are the inspiration for this agency. It comes from much appreciation and respect for those who have served us and now need us to give back.
Through my experience as a family caregiver and being in a family who needed care, I saw a tremendous need to enhance the quality of care and increase standards in the caregiving community. Often times, caregivers are not equipped with the skills they need to effectively support clients in their home. As a result, clients are left frustrated and still worried about care for their loved ones. As a Human Resources and Talent Management professional, I believe much of this is due to lack of clear training and communication from the get-go. I am on a mission to enhance care for seniors by taking time to support caregivers with proper communication, training, and clear expectations.
Kind Caregivers at Home is a small, family-owned and operated business whose mission is to enhance the quality of care in our community and make life easier for seniors. My goal is to leverage professional experience and training expertise to enhance the standard of care for seniors. We will do this by recruiting genuinely passionate and caring individuals who have proper caregiving background and qualifications. We will train them on most effective care protocol and professionalism. We plan thoroughly and communicate clearly so everyone is aligned on the expectations when a caregiver is in your family's home.
As you consider care needs for your parents, we believe that you will appreciate our honest communication, high integrity, and respectful and professional standard of communication. We hope that you will trust us with this personal and important responsibility.
